This is a brief message I recorded, a handful of weeks back.
It was experimental, in the sense that I was using a portable MP3 player, with a built in microphone and voice recorder.
It is capable of making a nice recording…but, it requires being held “just so far” away from the mouth, and an environment with good acoustics, helps a lot too…As it were, I had it clipped to my shirt collar…So, the angle [amongst other things], was not perfect…
This is actually three recordings…one original, and two additions…The quality differs, and you’ll notice it…but, none of them are really bad.
I don’t know if I’m going to try it again, or not…Think I prefer my normal, digital voice recorder…
What was on my mind this evening, was judith reisman…and I decided to speak my mind…tell her what I think about her, vocally…

This is the very first installment of “Diamond Raw”. It originally got mixed into a video file and uploaded to YouTube. It had to be appended to a video file, in order to distribute it via YouTube, you see.
This was being recorded the night before the 2008 U.S. presidential election…and I give both my thoughts, and a prediction…which turns out correct.
Yes…I do think very badly of politicians…

“Diamond Raw” is going to be free form chats (or rambling, in some cases). There will be no physical depictions of myself. Some people may have been a bit mislead, by “in the virtual flesh” in the teaser video. I just wanted to clarify. I don’t see this as being a graphics intensive series.
In fact, it is an off shoot of my tendency to take personal notes, by using a digital voice recorder. I’ve done this for a few years now, and I quickly capture a lot, which otherwise would be lost, by merely reading or saying it into my voice recorder. Initially, I would come back to it later, and use it in my writings…
Then I thought to myself…”It’s a pain setting up all my hardware to do professional recordings, and by the time I get any free time to do it the right way, I’ve lost these spontaneous expressions”…Maybe, I could treat the “raw notes” as a sort of production, in and of themselves?…Of course, I’d have to change my tone and style somewhat, but I think it is a novel idea, too “take you around with me”…out walking around…riding in my car…in bed at night…giving you frequent “mind molestations”, as it were… 
I incorporate you into my world…That is the whole idea behind “Diamond Raw”…It is “raw” because there is not going to be much refinement to the original recordings…and while clearly, they are not high quality recordings…I think they will be on the same general level of quality, as the Culture Shock podcast…with environmental sounds mixed in…maybe a bit of hissing…
As a side note, I contemplated using a very brief audio introduction, but I am opting not to…at least for the time being. Maybe later I will incorporate something as an introduction…and something to end each recorded segment with. I don’t want that to be a nuisance, or get in the way, anyway. For now, I will just upload the plain audio files…and you’ll just hear me launch into a greeting [or no greeting] and then start talking about something.
In short, this will be a sort of “no frills” podcast…Just me talking about issues, and topics.
We shall see how this experiment works…

“The Preface” was really recorded for the purpose of introducing all of my media projects [including videos, originally made for YouTube], and acting as a disclaimer or sorts. It consists of two separate recordings, a bit of repeating…and is sloppy…I meander somewhat…
As time goes by, you will no doubt notice that I have a tendency to meander, and even stumble over words, sometimes…This is largely do to health issues I have to live with, day in and day out…It often leaves me with a foggy memory…and I find myself in the middle of saying something, when I completely forget what I was about to say…or even what I was talking about.
This has been incredibly frustrating for me…and it’s been one of the primary reasons, why I’ve never gone forward with a regular podcast. Originally, when I started doing recordings several years back, things weren’t this bad…but, they’ve devolved a lot, over the past few years.
It’s becoming impossible for me to put out a professional, well polished end product, when I lack the where with all to do it…So by this stage in the game I said, “Screw it!…I’m just going to talk, record it, put it out there…and to hell with anybody, who is so shallow as to point out and pick on the obvious shortcomings”…
…The soul of this project, is communication of human thoughts, needs, ideas, criticisms, solutions…and the like.
My apologies if I come off sounding annoying…but, some recordings are much better than others…Some might be worse. I’ll just have to bite the bullet of criticism, if it comes my way…So be it.
One other point…
…At various points in my recordings, I was going through some very bleak, extremely stressful, deep depression phases…and even a viral infection makes it into several recordings [It actually stopped me, for several days]…The abyss I was staring into as I spoke, was very black…and this will, no doubt, come through on some of the recordings to follow…
In some instances, I really, really needed someone to talk to…but, I had nobody…so, this was a surrogate, of sorts.
Again…this is a human project, and I hide nothing in it, or from it…
While I hope this does not alter anybodies opinions of me for the worse…I at least hope people can come to respect my naked honesty.
Much of this is not of an “activist” flavor…while some of it might be considered such…
I hope you enjoy it for what it is, and can take something valuable away from it.

I hope you all like the new logo, at the top of this blog. I spent some effort and care, in deciding what to include in this banner…Much of it has meaning, that goes back a ways.
I spent much of the day creating new banners, mostly for sub-blogs over on Our Love Frontier, and I am pleased to present a new banner for this blog, also.
…To bad my sub-title [Love and Life, and all the Strife...] got axed…Might have to work that into the next version.

This is a brief recording I made, that was intended for a previous blog I had…which was also named, “Diamond Raw”.
I had intended on converting the “Diamond Raw” media project into a blog, and this was a brief update message.
It is not so much unlike some of my EQF Public Podium messages…and even talks about things going on at the EQF website. Unfortunately, that blog host did not allow audio media files…So, this never got posted.
This isn’t really a vital piece of media…but, it’s kind of a neat piece of history, connected to the “Diamond Raw” project…and I thought I’d just post it here.
You can start getting to know my “sidekick”…Rocky, aka “The RockBot 5000″…
He has done a lot of announcements, and various types of “fill ins” for me.
Please don’t be to prejudiced against him…I think, if you give him a chance, you’ll find that as voice synthesizers go…he really is a step above the rest of them, out there…even if he does sound like a cartoon character…

The only thing I can say, is that the “About the Diamond Raw Project” link, will fill you in on what this blog is here for.
However, until I get the time to undertake the media editing, this blog will remain dormant.
